Summer is just around the corner and that means you can finally dig out the very light clothes from the closet. From a fashion perspective, I find autumn the most exciting, but the warm season also has a lot to offer. Crazy bags, maxi dresses, great patterns, shorts and petticoats make the already beautiful days even sweeter. This blog post has a lot of inspiration for your perfect summer outfit in a retro look. Maxi dresses are one of my favorite pieces of clothing in summer. They exude a wonderfully relaxed vibe, are comfortable and airy. In this post I have already introduced you to numerous beautiful maxi dresses for the summer. Now I would like to add one more piece. The blue and white model from TopVintage*. It can also be styled in completely different ways. I went for a relatively contemporary look with a ponytail, a super cool Limoncello handbag (via TopVintage*) and flat shoes.
It can also be styled in an elegant 1930s look with the right hairstyle and a few vintage accessories.

Of course, shorts are a must in summer. I really like shorts, especially with a retro look. They are summery but still look stylish. I like to wear white tops with my red shorts and sometimes a cardigan on cooler days. Add comfortable shoes and cat-eye sunglasses and you’ve got a wonderfully relaxed summer outfit.

Skirts with gingham patterns promise pure summer mood and always remind me of Brigitte Bardot. They can be styled very well and in different ways depending on the weather, whether with a blouse, top or cardigan. Red and white gingham pieces look particularly summery and are simply perfect for everyday wear. Whether for a picnic or a visit to a café, you are always well dressed with a red and white checked retro skirt in midi length. White tops and cardigans, cool cat-eye sunglasses, flat shoes and accessories such as a wide waist belt finish the classy retro outfit.

Wrap dresses are a wonderful choice for summer! The airy cut is of course ideal for warm temperatures. Plus, you can just wrap them a little wider if the gelato was just too tasty. 😉 Add a few cool retro accessories and you’re perfectly dressed.

We already had the gingham check, but since it is my absolute favorite pattern for the summer, I would like to mention it again. 😉 Gingham dresses are reminiscent of vacation in St. Tropez and Brigitte Bardot. It doesn’t matter whether you choose a black and white or colorful dress. I like to wear relaxed, summery accessories with the checked dress, such as a straw hat, a basket bag and my favorite earrings from the market. A perfect look for summer that is absolutely suitable for everyday life.
